PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
● The system is used to polish different, round air tanks with already mounted attachments. The accessibility of the complete surface is limited by the attachments. All accessible surfaces, which can be reached with a round polishing brush, are polished.
● The system consists of an input station with rotary table and two component shelves, a robot and two polishing stations with two polishing brushes each.
● The technical equipment of the plant is based on the specification of the quantity to be processed of up to 10,000 tanks per year in two-shift operation. The offered equipment of polishing technology should be sufficient on the basis of experience to achieve these quantities. However, a precise statement can only be made after preliminary tests have been carried out.
● The Fanuc robot with mounted force sensor and a drive for rotating the component will have a gripper that grabs both tanks on an attachment and picks them up from the table. The component is then pre-polished with the help of two coarse brushes. Two further brushes for fine polishing are approached after coarse polishing. After completion, the component is placed back on the rotary table.
● By rotating the rotary table by 180 degrees, the next component can be introduced. The loading and unloading of the rotary table is carried out manually by a system operator. Safety equipment for personal protection at the rotary table in the form of a light curtain is part of the system.
● The system is fully enclosed and can be entered through a safety gate with security lock .
● The technological process of polishing can be adapted according to findings from preliminary tests during the development of the plant. Thus, the number of polishing brushes, the position to each other as well as the work surface of the brushes is still variable.
● The size of the plant will not exceed an external dimension of 5 x 5 meters. A detailed design taking into account the smallest space requirement is created when the offer is specified.
